Meeting Start Time: 10 am

Please join MFFM Board of Directors and market farmers throughout the state for MFFM’s 2019 annual meeting. Hear updates from MFFM Board members and staff, and take a look back at highlights from 2018.
Our annual meeting coincides with the Maine Agricultural Trades Show (Jan 15 – 17). Therefore, you can drop in our annual meeting while you explore the Trades Show on Thursday.
Stick around after the meeting for round-table conversations and pick up free “Farmers’ Market Today!”, “EBT Accepted” and “WIC Accepted Here” signs.
Round Table Discussions
High & Lows of the 2018 Market Season (11 am)
Air your grievances, celebrate your achievements, and share your wisdom in a facilitated group conversation with fellow farmers and market organizers. You’re not alone in your challenges and triumphs! Come learn and share with your peers. Mark Guzzi, of Peacemeal Farm and farmers’ markets in Orono, Bangor, Camden, and Belfast, will facilitate the discussion.
Low-income Food Access (12:30 pm)
Join MFFM for a conversation about low-income food access programming at farmers’ markets. There are many strategies for making your markets more accessible to shoppers with limited means. Share your experiences, bring your questions, discuss your challenges, or just listen and learn about the amazing grassroots efforts across the state to help nourish Mainers with fresh, local food. Jack McAdam, of McDougall Orchards and the Sanford Farmers’ Market, will facilitate the discussion.
