Does your farm or market currently accept Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) payments, such as SNAP? If so, you may need to update your information with the USDA Food & Nutrition Service to reflect current program authorities (a.k.a. who is responsible for the SNAP program), change in location, etc. You can do so with the direct assistance of USDA representative, Debbie Crosby, at our Farmers’ Market Convention on Sunday, January 29th.

Markets and farms looking to become newly authorized SNAP retailers will also benefit from Debbie’s help to navigate the application process. She will be present throughout the day to sit with you and complete the paperwork. Bring along the proper documentation to make sure you’ll be able to provide all necessary details. Depending on the type of legal entity applying for authorization (i.e. LLC, 501(c)3) you will need different documentation on hand. Click here to find out what you need to bring with you.

Debbie’s assistance makes the application and/or re-authorization process much, much easier. Register here for the full convention, or swing in just to take care of this piece of business at no fee. Regardless, don’t miss this opportunity to avoid a paperwork hassle!
