Lewiston Winter Farmers’ Market

The Lewiston Winter Market is at the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center- November through Feb.

When the days grow short and the season turns cold there’s a warm inviting place in the heart of Lewiston where you can always find good friends, good music and great food! The Lewiston Winter Farmers’ Market takes all your favorite vendors from our outdoor summer market and invites them to set up shop in the historic Wallace School building-now home to the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center. Just once a month you can take an evening out of your busy week to stock up on favorite local goodies like quality meats, artisan cheese, winter produce and tasty baked goods while also enjoying an affordable delicious meal at our Winter Market Cafe. All cafe meals have a home-made feel and feature local products from market vendors. Proceeds from the cafe go to support the urban gardening and cooking & nutrition programs of the Nutrition Center.

The Lewiston Farmers’ Market provides area farmers, artists and crafts people with a venue to sell their products directly to the community. We strive to offer a convenient location and friendly atmosphere for the people of Lewiston and surrounding areas to access fresh, nutritious, locally produced food and provide opportunities for under-served families to more easily and readily access this food. We support efforts for civic engagement in Lewiston and the revitalization of the downtown. The Lewiston Farmers’ Market is sponsored by St. Mary’s Health System and is supported by staff and volunteers from the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center; a local and statewide resource dedicated to promoting community health through organizing, advocacy and education. The Nutrition Center has twelve years of experience working to create a sustainable regional food system, involving those affected by inadequate food access as partners and supporting area farms as an essential piece of the local economy.
